Sinking

I know I’ve been missing in action lately.  I’ve been thinking and pondering ways to try and save some money so I don’t have to keep sinking deeper into debt just to survive.  My propane bills for the past four years have been going on credit cards because there was no money to pay them.  Now my credit cards are almost maxed out and the heating season isn’t over yet.  Ugghh!  I’m stressed beyond belief.

I’m going to call my car insurance company tomorrow and see how much I’d save each month if I drop the collision coverage on my car and how much I would actually get if my car was ever totaled.  Then I want to call some other insurance companies and compare rates.

I’m already saving about $20.o0 a month by switching to the cable internet so that’s good.

The rest are all fixed bills like rent, mortgage, and credit card bills.  I’ve tried to refinance my mortgage, but the downside of a mobile home, YOU CAN’T!

I’ve updated my Ebay account with my current information so I’ve been looking around the house to see if there’s anything I can sell to get some money.  I’ve already sold all my jewelry and silver coins.

So this is why I’ve been a little scarce here.  I’m trying to figure out a way to survive.

Today I’m grateful for:

1.  Me and Morriss have heat and food for today.

2.  My friend’s husband came over yesterday and cleaned out my dryer vent.

3.  I have a turkey to bake next week when it’s so cold out.  That will keep the house warm and provide food for a week or more.

  1. I am sorry to hear that things are so rough for you right now. The cold does not help at all. Here’s hoping that you will be able to make some further savings. Take care.
