Mom’s Dr. Appointment

I hit 500 likes today. Wow! Pretty Cool.

It’s been a busy day, but a decent day. I took my mom to the transplant specialist at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The kidney specialist has been wanting her to have a fistula placed in her arm for dialysis for over two years now.

Surprisingly the doctor said she’d not ready to have this done yet because her last blood work showed her kidneys were functioning at 27%. A great improvement from the 12% she was at when we were there two years ago.

So thankfully that surgery is averted for now. Next up is her knee surgery, but we’re looking at spring for that to happen.

I still need to work on my word count for today, but I’m really tired so that may wait until tomorrow.

Today I’m grateful for:

1. Mom’s kidney function is better than it’s been in a while.

2. I don’t have to be anywhere tomorrow.

3. I’m in pain, but it was an ok day.

  1. Congratulations on your likes! That is really a milestone. Would love your advice on how to get there! Was it one particular blog or over time? Keep writing!

  2. I don’t know if I actually have any advice to give. I think it’s just the consistency of writing every day. I will continue writing because I love it. 🙂 Thank you for following and praying for me. I’m sure that helps too.
