What boundaries would you cross for love?
That’s the question a grieving mother must answer when she takes in a young street musician to learn about her daughter’s death and finds herself falling for him. A touching love story that will have you equally tantalized and in tears, Jane’s Melody follows a forty-year-old woman on a romantic journey of rediscovery after years of struggling alone.

Sometimes our greatest gifts come from our greatest pain. And now Jane must decide if it’s too late for her to start over, or if true love really knows no age.

Jane’s Melody may not be suitable for younger readers due to sexual content.

Funny how I discovered this author. An advertisement was on my Facebook page promoting this book for only $3.99 for the kindle version on Amazon. So I clicked on the link and read the first couple of pages and I had to buy it.

This book haunted me as I read it. What I mean by that, is when I thought I was done reading for the night and put my kindle down I couldn’t get the last scene out of my mind and couldn’t sleep because I needed to know what was going on. I read this book in two days because I just couldn’t put it down.

Mr. Winfield has a way with words and descriptions that pull you into the story. The characters are so alive I had to know what was happening to them on the next page.

I don’t like giving the story away to potential readers so I’ve copied only the description from Amazon’s page. Read this book for yourself and see what I mean about Mr. Winfield being a truly gifted author. So few books pull me in and make me live and breathe in the pages. This one did. This is what I hope to be able to do someday with my writing.

As soon as I read the last page I went on Amazon to see what other books he had written and was about to buy “South of Bixby Bridge” when I saw a note that I had bought this book in February 2012. I went back in my kindle history and there is was. I had gotten it for free and never got around to reading it. What a wonderful surprise that I already have this book. I can’t wait to start reading it.

If you decide to read “Jane’s Melody” please be aware that there are sex scenes. I don’t normally like reading these scenes and usually read a lot of Christian fiction, but the story was so excellent I was able to overlook them. He really didn’t even need the sex scenes, but I know sex sells, so you do need to be aware before you start reading.

Today I’m grateful for:

1. Discovering a new author that writes so well that I get transported into the world in the book.

2. I’m feeling a bit better today.

3. I see my doctor tomorrow.
